The middle of the week at Earls Hall saw the day start with the children in Years One and Two taking part in a ‘Letters & Sounds’ demonstration for their parents and other family members. The children demonstrated how to blend and segment a series of words and writing short sentences on whiteboards. The session was repeated at the end of the day. Thanks to everyone who made it along.
Later in the afternoon, the children from Year Three dazzled a host of parents and other family members as they performed a special ‘Harvest Assembly’ in the upstairs hall. The children spoke clearly and sang their way through the assembly which focused on how we are grateful for the food we have whilst thinking of those less fortunate than ourselves. It was a brilliant assembly, well done to all of the children for taking part. Afterwards the PTA served cakes and drinks in the downstairs communal area, raising over £60 for school funds. Thanks to everyone for your time.
After school a group of children represented the school at the first inter-schools carpet bowls competition held at Prittlewell bowls club. The team played against Westborough School and showed great teamwork skills throughout the match. It was a great competition which saw Earls Hall triumph with a score of 9-7! Well done to all of our champions, we are proud of you!
