It was a fun start to another busy week at Earls Hall! The morning started with Mr B leading a singing assembly for the children in Foundation Stage and KS1. Children took turns to accompany him on his guitar with bells and actions and the theme of the assembly was spreading love. Later, in the KS2 assembly, Mrs Crouch shared the hatching of our new ducks with the children and talked about how we will care for the ducks as they grow up.
The ducklings continued to be a star attraction, with lots of children and staff visiting them in the Foundation Stage throughout the day. In the afternoon the children in Hedgehogs and Robins watched them as they took to shallow water for the first time. Dormice were enjoying Forest Friends so will watch them tomorrow.
The day saw children from across Foundation Stage and KS1 take part in our annual sponsored bounce! Each child bounced on the bouncy castle as many times as they could for a minute with many sharing some interesting and energetic techniques! Well done to Emily in Rabbits who was the top child bouncer with a brilliant 109 bounces! This years staff top bouncer was Mr Town with a phenomenal 140 bounces! Thanks to everyone who supported the event and to Mr Scroxton who, once again, gave us the bouncy castle to use.
Later in the afternoon the downstairs hall played host to the latest of our transition meetings as Mrs Creak welcomed the parents of Year Five and told them all about life in Year Six. As always there was the opportunity for the parents to introduce themselves to the teachers over a cup of tea. Thanks to everyone who made it along.
