It was another busy day at Earls Hall and one which saw the school earn our third borough sporting win in under a week! Mr Smith accompanied both our Boccia and New Aged Kurling teams to this years Southend inter-school tournament held at Garons where all of the children represented the school beautifully. Our New Aged Kurling team played well and made it to the semi finals whilst our Boccia team triumphed in the final against Bournemouth Park making them Southend champions! Well done to all of the children who represented the school, we are proud of you!

Back in school, the children in Woodpeckers enjoyed an arts and craft session with Mrs Cockett where they created story settings for the story of the ‘Billy Goats Gruff’. They used a range of collage materials and worked in groups to create some stunning pieces. Meanwhile the children in Year Two used their Forest Friends sessions to collect natural materials from the cabin and use them to create a series of beautiful Christmas decorations. The children painted and decorated pine cones in order to transform them into owls which were particularly stunning. There was more creativity on show in Hedgehogs as the children made their own baubles to hang on their class Christmas tree.

Whilst more children helped to look after the goats, there was a sense of pride across Year three as the teachers shared some wonderful examples of their BFG homework projects. Down the corridor, the children in Sycamore investigated the phases of the moon by recreating then using Oreos which proved to be a tasty end to the day!
