It was an important day at Earls Hall today. The morning started with us being joined by Mrs Kilpatrick, the wife of our dearly missed former Assistant Site Manager Mr kilpatrick, as she accompanied the school council, house captains, head boy & girl, Mr B, Mrs C, Mr Geach and Mr Gheorge as they planted a tree on the field in memory of him. Mr B said a few words about how missed Mr kilpatrick is and how much he loved working at the school whilst each member of the group helped plant a flowering cherry tree. It was lovely to see Mrs Kilpatrick on such an important day. Thank you for giving us your time.

Later, after school, the team took part in the first ‘Jim Kilpatrick Bowling Tournament’ where, because Mr Kilpatrick was a firm ten pin bowls fan, they played against each other in his name. Well done to Mr Martin who triumphed in the competition and was presented with the Jim Kilpatrick shield whilst Mrs Winder was presented with a fitting Mr Kilpatrick style t-shirt to mark her gaining the lowest score.

Meanwhile, earlier in the day, our latest ‘Reptile Club’ saw the children investigate a salamander closely whilst more children from across KS1 enjoyed taking part in ‘Construction Club’.
