The end of the half term at Earls Hall ended in spectacular fashion today! The morning started with Mrs Critoph leading a special assembly in KS1 where she rewarded children for displaying fantastic manners at lunchtime. The ‘Midday Manners’ awards were given to children who had been spotted by Midday Assistants saying please or thank you, not talking with their mouth full, asking politely to leave the table and eating their lunches sensibly. Well done to all of the children who had been spotted!

Meanwhile, in Stratford Upon Avon, the children from Year Six who were on the residential enjoyed a fantastic final day away. After enjoying another hearty breakfast the group ventured to the YHA where they worked with three professional actors throughout the morning. Bill, John and Jen put the children through their paces in three drama workshops which the children enjoyed on rotation. They focused on displaying various emotions in a series of games and used these in groups to act out familiar scenes from ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’. The workshops were great and gave each child the opportunity to momentarily take centre stage.

At lunch the children celebrated Billy’s birthday with cakes provided by his Mum and after the third session made their way back home on the coach, singing most of the way!

The trip was great fun and all of the staff were proud to spend time with such fun loving and well behaved children.
