It was an exciting day for the children at Earls Hall today as we were visited by photographers and each pupil had an individual snap shot taken. Dressed smartly in uniform and with immaculate hair, the children had to line up in register order before standing at a distance from the photographer and donning their brightest smiles. Thanks to the organisational skills of the lovely Mrs Humphrey, everything went like clockwork. Thanks to all of our parents for sending the children into school looking so smart and to the teachers for keeping them that way, at least until the photos had been taken!

Meanwhile, as some of the children in Year One were inspired to make their own poppies having learnt about Remembrance Day, the sounds of the ‘RockSteady Workshop’ echoed down the corridor from the community room. Groups of children developed their electric and bass guitar skills or set to work on the drums or keyboards whilst others gave their all as singers.

At the end of the afternoon Mr B was delighted to hear some wonderful readers, today from Woodpeckers, before we held our first girls football club for children from across Years Five and Six. Mrs Burrell and Mrs Hill put the girls through their paces in training and a great time was had by all. Meanwhile, inside, our Clay Cottage club saw the children put the finishing touches to some brilliant pieces of work. Some children had made ceramic dinosaur settings whilst others had made magical fairy hills, each complete with lights which only added to the already stunning pieces.
