Manifesto Mania!

There was a sense of democracy in action around Earls Hall today as some of the classes from Years Two to Six began sharing their manifestos for some of the key elections taking place before the week is over. Children have been invited to stand for election to the School Council, the Green Team or as a Science Ambassador for their class. Each class will hold elections where the pupils can hear manifestos from each other before holding a democratic vote. Some of the elections began today and all elections will have taken place by the end of Friday- good luck everyone!

Meanwhile, our ‘Learning Ambassadors’ from last week met with Mrs Wilson, one of our school governors, where they gave her an overview of the learning which had been taking place across the school.

As the children in Year Two used their Maths lesson to bridge over ten, the children in 6C began researching the life of Charles Darwin and used the facts gained from books and the internet to create a poster detailing his life and achievements.

Meanwhile, out on the playground, the children in Year Three developed their basketball skills whilst, inside, the children in Year Four enjoyed a recorder lesson with the lovely Mrs Thompson.
