It was a great start to another week at Earls Hall today! The morning started with the downstairs hall filling up with proud parents and other family members as they gathered together to watch their Foundation Stage and KS1 children receive their ‘Reading Champions’ badges. Children were awarded with bronze and silver whilst the children presented with gold badges, for reading over one hundred times at home, had their parents invited to the assembly to share in their triumph! Later in the morning the children from KS2 also got their mature looking badges presented to them. Well done to all of the children presented with badges today, we are proud of you!

Throughout the day the children from Year Three enjoyed a treat as they took place in ‘Fun Swim’ sessions over at the pool as a reward for being at the top of the attendance table at the end of the Autumn term. The children used the pool toys and inflatables and a great time was had by all!

Meanwhile, the children in Foxes investigated the plight of animals facing extinction. the children were fascinated as they researched the animals to the point where some of them came and shared their facts with the ladies in the office who were overwhelmed by their enthusiasm.

Upstairs, in the hall, the children in 6M adopted different poses as they reenacted various sporting poses in PE. They worked in teams and had to communicate how to control and balance their bodies in order to replicate the poses.

At the end of the afternoon Mr B was treated to some fantastic readers, today from Robins. The children were incredibly enthusiastic and made Mr B’s day!
