Happy Chef’s Day!

It was a special day for the ladies over in the kitchen today as they were treated to a song and dance by some of the children from Year Three. Some time ago one of our pupils, Orlaith, decided that she wanted to say thank you to Mrs Warren Hardy and her ladies for all of their hard work cooking and so she arranged meetings with Mr B and Mr Geach and rallied friends together to help her. Today, at the beginning of the lunch break, the children went over and performed a special ‘Happy Chef’s Day’ song and dance and left celebratory posters for the staff. Well done children, we are proud of you!

At the end of the lunch break the team said a fond farewell to Mrs Underhill as she finished her final shift. Thanks on behalf of all of the children for your hard work Mrs Underhill!

Meanwhile, George the tortoise continued to gain energy following the end of his hibernation. Today some of the children from Robins helped Mr B feed him and enjoyed watching him zoom around the office!

Down in the Foundation Stage the children finished off their learning about Chinese New Year by making a host of Chinese lanterns whilst, outside on the playground, the children from Elm enjoyed a hockey based PE lesson.

In our two simultaneous ‘Celebration Assemblies’ individual children from each class were presented with ‘Earls Hall Stars’ certificates in recognition of effort and achievement and, at the end of the afternoon, our ‘Learning Ambassadors’ met with Mrs Irwin, one of the school governors, in order to discuss the learning which has taken place across the school throughout the week. Well done children, we are proud of you!
