It was one of the most exciting days of the school year today as, this afternoon, we welcomed the parents of our new September intake into school for their first induction meeting. Our guests were greeted by our House Captains and Head Boy as they made their way into school to join the meeting.  It was smashing to see such a mixture of new and familiar faces in the audience. At the meeting Mr B introduced key members of staff, many of whom took turns to talk about school procedures, and lots of information was shared. We were joined by Mr Stanton, our Chair of Governors, as well as Mrs Rosewell from our fabulous PTA. Hopefully the meeting helped our new parents feel at ease about their little ones starting. Welcome to Earls Hall one and all!

Meanwhile, in the Foundation Stage, the children investigated planting. The children planted a series of different seeds in compost whilst, outside in the Forest Friends area, the children from Year One took part in a range of activities. Some children played in the mud kitchen, on the rope swing or in tents they had created with Mrs Mellish and Miss Chandler. Other activities saw the children bug hunting or looking for patterns in nature.

Earlier in the day our latest ‘AOK Club’ mission saw a group of children from Foxes visit Edward Bears Pre-school Group where they acted as role models for the toddlers. The children were fantastic models of positive play and Mrs Smoothy and Mrs Philips were incredibly proud of them. Well done children, we are proud of you!
