It was another busy start to the week at Earls Hall and one which saw the children in KS2 use their assembly to focus on the importance of mental health awareness. In assembly, Mrs Crouch used the characters from the interactive online tool ‘Mind Moose’ to teach the children how to recognise when theirs others mental health may need some support. Mind Moose and his friends take children on a fun, interactive journey to learn about mental wellbeing, how their brains and minds work, the tools they can use to help navigate through life’s ups and down and thrive. The story was followed by a discussion as to how we can support our own and others mental health.

Meanwhile, as the children in Year One continued to use ‘Purple Mash’ with the support of the lovely Miss Holmes, the team welcomed a new Assistant Site Manager in the form of Mr Hatt. Mr Hatt spent his first day at work working alongside Mr Gheorge in order to get to know the school site and everything that his new job entails. Welcome to the team Mr Hatt!

As some helpers from Badgers helped sort out the harvest donations which had come flooding into school, the children in Year Four used their maths lesson to focus on place value using four digit numbers. Meanwhile, in Year Three, the classrooms were a hive of activity as some children continued to create their Roald Dahl modroc sculptures by adding paint to their basic shapes whilst others created props for their harvest assemblies which take place on Wednesday.
