It was another busy day at Earls Hall today! The children in Owls started the day by following up yesterdays exciting events! The children were greeted in their classroom with a note from Blackbeard the pirate who, scared away from the notes which the children had left them and the endless amounts of WANTED posters placed around the school, he decided to count his losses and return the treasure which he had stolen. Typically, the scoundrel left a cryptic message in order for the children to identify where he had left their treasure chest and there was much excitement when it was tracked down to a cupboard down by Woodpeckers. The rest of the day saw the children enjoy a Forest Friends session where they worked with Miss Chandler in the wooded area at the back of the field where they built dens and identified signs of Spring.

There was more Forest Friends fun for Badgers where the children created shelters, created obstacle courses and played on the rope swing!

Whilst the children in 6C enjoyed a game of dodgeball in the upstairs hall, the children in Year Five were learning about the journey of life and how the Islamic faith follows a specific structure in their beliefs and why they follow the five pillars.

In Year One the children enjoyed the outdoors by created their own imaginary pirate ships, including planks to walk, and also enjoyed playing in the mud kitchen.  Inside there were opportunities to make treasure chests and pirate ships with the junk modelling.

In the afternoon a group of children from Dormice visited the goat enclosure with Miss Newman. The children gave the goats fresh water and hay before watching them play on their see-saw and having a lovely stroke.
