The children may be off school, enjoying a fun filled half term break, but the work at Earls Hall continued this week when a group of eager volunteers joined Mr B for the day.

The group were all employees of Vodafone and, as part of their ‘Giving something back” programme, the team of ten volunteers from the London Order Management Team spent all of Tuesday transforming a small part of the school grounds.

The piece of grass situated between Colemans Avenue and the Dining Hall was dug over, top soiled and planted with a range of evergreen plants. The Dining Hall itself was also spruced up as part of the project and saw some of its drainpipes and frames given a fresh lick of paint. Even the broken tiles under the window were removed and replaced!

Vodafone made a hefty contribution towards the cost of the plants and materials and the end result was fabulous. Thank you to all of the volunteers who took part for their back breaking labour!
