It was a busy day, full of the theme of environmental awareness, in school today as the children across all classes took part in ‘Think Green Around the World Day’.

Organised by our ‘Green Team’, which has representatives from each class from Years Two to Six, the day saw each year group work in each of their three classes in order to investigate the plights of endangered animals around the world and identify ways in which they can be protected.

Part of the day saw the ‘Green Team’ judge a cake competition where children created an array of amazing offerings all centred around the theme of animals. At break time the cakes were sold in order to raise money to sponsor endangered animals by supporting the work of the WWF- the school charity of the year chosen by the School Council.

The whole day saw children wearing green accessories or dressed as animals and was a huge success. Well done to the ‘Green Team’ for organising the day!
