It was another busy start to the day at Earls Hall as the children in Year Two were joined by a host of parents, and other family members, who were all eager to find out more about how the children learn to develop their writing in school. the children in Owls, Foxes and Badgers shared the story writing process, starting with their stimulus, leading onto the planning through a story mountain before proudly reading their finished pieces! It was a case of proud faces all round as the parents saw how much the children’s writing has progressed. Thanks to all of the parents who made it along, it was lovely to see you.
Later in the day the children in Year One put their culinary skills to the test as they prepared their own healthy salads! The children were taught how to grate, cut and peel a range of vegetables before having a go at doing so independently.
At the end of the day our PTA held their latest cake sale which also gave the children the opportunity to take part in a range of Valentines craft activities over in the Woodland Diner. The PTA had their fancy dress outfits on display all ready to hire for ‘World Book day’ in March.
After school Miss Brooker and Mrs Linfield supported our Year 5 & 6 girls football team as they played a home match against the team from Our Lady of Lourdes. There was a great sense of team spirit despite the rainy conditions! Well done to all of our players, we are proud of you!
