Day two of the new academic year saw the children gather together in the two halls in order to take part in the first ‘Celebration Assemblies’  of the year.  The two simultaneous assemblies saw the children congratulate the first ‘Earls Hall Stars’ of the year, recognising individual achievement in each class. Well done to all of the children who received certificates, we are proud of you. Mr B and Mr Geach also reminded the children of all the other awards which will be presented each Friday including the tidy classroom award and the house points. It was a really positive way to start the year.

Later in the day, the children continued to enjoy the new dining hall surroundings and both Mr B and Mr Geach were joined by children on the round table who they had noticed had been displaying excellent manners.

In the afternoon, Mrs Ludman (nee Brooker) played team building games with the children in Sycamore whilst Mr Brasted and the children in Aspen investigated the laptops. Mr Martin worked with the children in Kestrels to write aspirations in a time capsule whilst the children in Rabbits played number bingo. The children in Badgers developed their communication skills, focusing particularly on eye contact when talking.
