It was a busy day again at Earls Hall today and one which saw lots of children from across KS2 represent the school, both in sport and singing! Our Year Five and Six choir are currently at the O2 where they are taking part in the ‘Young Voices 2020’ celebration- singing with thousands of other children in unison! Details of how they got on will be in the website news tomorrow.Well done to all of our singers, we are proud of you!

Meanwhile, Mr Smith, Mrs Elliott and Mrs Bowers accompanied dozens of children at the KS2 indoor athletics competition which was held at Garons. The children competed against sixteen other schools and ran, jumped and threw their way through the tournament. It was a successful day which saw the Year Five and Six pupils rank in third place and the Year Three and Four come in second place. Well done to all of the children who took part, we are proud of you!

Back in school,there was plenty of animal magic as more children from the Foundation Stage helped out with the farm animals. The children discovered that the ducks had laid eggs and had fun playing with the goats. Meanwhile, in Mr B’s office, George the tortoise finally fully woke up from his hibernation and had plenty of visitors as a result.

Down in Dormice, the children saw the egg, which had accidentally been taken by the teachers on their adventure, be returned back to its own time and hatch to reveal a baby long necked dinosaur. As a result the children hatched their own papier mache eggs to reveal their own mini dinosaurs inside!
