Shell Art!

It was an artistic day for the children in Aspen today as they used their Forest Friends session to get creative using shells! Outside on the green, the children took part in a number of activities all based around the shells and stones. They created line drawings of chosen individual shells using pencils and charcoal and then created pictures of landscapes, objects or abstract arrangements out of a collection of shells. There were some wonderful works of art created, all unique and individual.

Meanwhile, as the children in 6A and 6B continued to develop their cycling skills in their bikeability sessions, the upstairs hall was full of the sound of music as Mrs Thompson hosted her first singing assembly of the year.

As the children in Year One enjoyed using the indoor and outdoor environment to play and explore and Year Six continued to research WW2, out on the field the children in Kites took part in a PE session with Mr Crooks. The children developed their dribbling and passing skills in a series of different activities as part of a pair or group and some great skills were on show throughout!
