There was a new face in the school today, all be it a furry one, as Earls Hall welcomed the arrival of a new four legged friend. Rodney the rabbit was recently donated to the school and today visited for the first time. He spent the day meeting groups of children from Robins, Aspen and Woodpeckers as well as taking part in a very calm and quiet circle time session in Squirrels. Rodney will be a familiar face in school, spending his time jointly at Earls Hall and at Mr B’s house. Over the next few days he will be introduced to all the children and will then spend the colder months in the Riverside Room playing nurturing games with groups. He is currently being introduced slowly to school life so that he can become accustomed to his new surroundings.

Today also saw the children in the Foundation stage whose attendance in the Autumn term was over 95% being rewarded in a special ‘Attendance Assembly’. A powerpoint of the children enjoying school was payed on the big screen to parents and the children were then presented with special certificates.

Meanwhile in Aspen the children were creating powerpoint presentations of their own based around Willy Wonkas Chocolate Factory whilst 6J created shadow puppets and used them alongside torches to create moving scenes.
