It was a rock n rolling day at Earls Hall today as the children from the Rock Steady Workshop took to the stage in order to perform a fantastic concert! Simon, the Rock Steady leader, introduced each band in turn as they performed a series of tracks which they had been rehearsing throughout the term. Since September the children have been developing their skills on the drums, electric guitar, bass guitar, keyboard or as vocalists and this afternoon, in front of their masked up parents who were spread out at a distance in the ventilated upstairs hall, all of their efforts came to fruition. It was a brilliant end to a terms work and the concert went down a storm. Well done to all of our performers, we are proud of you!

Meanwhile, out of the front of the school, the children in Aspen used their Forest Friends session to make Christmas decorations out of natural objects, create their own dens which included some fantastic knots to secure the tarpaulin, and play on the rope swing.

As the children from 6J took to the nearby roads in their second ‘Bikeability’ session of the week, the children in 6C ventured around the school in order to continue to create their video blogs about life at Earls Hall.

Whilst Mr B was being delighted by readers from Squirrels in his office, it was an adventurous English lesson in Owls as the children found themselves taking on the roles of Hansel and Gretel and were trapped in cages by their Witchy teacher, Mrs Stokes! The children thought about the language they could use to describe how they felt as the Witch tricked them which, once released, they began to plan in their independent writing.
