It was another exiting day for sport at Earls Hall as a team of children from Year Two represented the school at the Quad Kids athletics inter-school competition which was held at Garons. The competition saw the team compete in a fifty metre sprint, standing long jump, howler throw and a four hundred metre run and the children competed brilliantly throughout the day. Mr Crooks came back to school bursting with pride, not only because of the way all of the children tried their very best but also due to the fact that they demonstrated such a positive attitude by being supportive to the athletes from the other schools. Well done children, we are proud of you!

Meanwhile, back in school, as the children from Rabbits took to the pool for a swimming lesson with Mr Knight, the children in Year Six put on more layers of their modroc Tudor masks. Mr B was delighted to be visited in his office by groups of children from Year Five who all wished to discuss issues which were on their minds. Some of the girls discussed ways to support the work of a dog sanctuary whilst some of the boys had independently researched the dangers of plastic and wished to discuss ways to further reduce the use of single use plastic in school. Well done children, it is that kind of thinking which we love at Earls Hall!

At lunchtime the community room played host to our latest Rubik’s Cube club whilst after school the lovely Mrs Cheema enjoyed running another sewing club.
