It was another busy start to the week!

The children in Sycamore continued to work through the theme of the Greeks and, having previously designed their own replica pots, today they worked in pairs to begin to create their own papier mache models of them.

The children began to create the shapes of their pots in pairs, using balloons and cardboard, before tearing and sticking layers of newspaper onto them.

Meanwhile, in Hawks, the children continued to learn French by naming and labelling a series of everyday school items and inserting them into phrases which could be used in conversations.

Downstairs in Owls the children continued to investigated the destinations for Mr b’s X Factor World Tour by researching various African masks. The children then designed their own masks inspired by the ones they had already seen before making a start on painting them by applying base colours.

Down in the community room the PTA held another meeting where our trusty volunteers used some of their time to wrap up lots of Christmas goodies ready for the fair which will be held on the 2nd December after school.

At the end of the afternoon Mr B was joined by a group of parents where he gave a presentation based on ‘Anti Bullying’. The presentation provided feedback on the messages against bullying the children had received last week as well as clear definitions for different types of bullying and how they would be managed were they to be witnessed in school.

After school the KS2 ‘Drama Club’ developed their mime skills by completing a mannequin challenge. They were challenged to adopt a pose and hold it to tell a story!
