It was another great start to the week at Earls Hall today. The day saw the children in Foxes gain an understanding of being visually challenged or blind by using their senses to identify numbers on a domino. Mr Geach explained how some people use braille in order to read and how important it is to use other senses when one, such as sight, is impaired.

The children in the Foundation Stage continued to enjoy their full day in school. They continued to explore the early years garden, playing and learning with their new friends on the new water wall as well as with the tyres, small world play items and building blocks. In the classroom some children worked in the creative areas to make a range of decorative hats and accessories.

Out on the playground, in the afternoon, the children in 6C took part in their first ‘Bikeability’ session of the week where they gained confidence throughout the session whilst developing their understanding of how their bikes work. Meanwhile, out on the field, the children in Hawks developed their sprinting skills with Mr Cann.

Over in the dining hall the PTA hosted a welcome tea party for parents new to the school where they chatted about ways to get involved in the work of the group which benefits all of the children. Thanks to everyone who made it along.
