It was a momentous day for the children in Year Two today as they took to the stage in the upstairs hall on three occasions today in order to perform their amazing production of ‘Lights, Camera, Action!’. In front of proud parents and other family members, the children told the story of the birth of baby Jesus through a tv dance competition show where the judges scored the various key members of the worlds most famous story as they strutted their stuff for the cameras.

The children confidently sang, acted and danced their way through the show and both the performers and the audience loved every minute of the show. Thank you to all of the family members who came along to enjoy the performance. Well done children, we are proud of you!

Meanwhile, down in the community room, the children in KS2 classes each took turns to visit Father Christmas himself in his magical grotto. Supported by a host of elves from Year Six, the children were each given time to chat with Father Christmas before being given a small gift to take home. Thank you to everyone from our wonderful PTA who have been involved with this years grotto and to Father Christmas himself for giving us his precious time.

Our two ‘Celebration assemblies’ today were extra special today as Mr Geach and Mr B presented children from across the classes with the very first round of ‘Times Table Champions’ badges. The badges were presented in recognition of the effort the children had put into learning their times tables with the first bronze badge being awarded for practising twenty five times at home. In the afternoon assembly we were thrilled to be joined by Mrs Anderson, one of our governors, who was keen to congratulate the children for their effort. In a similar fashion, also in the assemblies, our latest ‘Reading Champions’ badges were presented to children with bronze and silver badges being awarded for twenty five and fifty reads at home respectively. Also in the assemblies we presented individual children from each class our ‘Earls Hall Stars’ certificates for effort and achievement. Well done to all of the children presented with badges and certificates today, we are proud of you!

At the end of the day our latest ‘Learning Ambassadors’ met with Mrs Woof, one of our school governors, where one ambassador from each class told her all about the learning which has taken place throughout the week. Well done children, we are proud of you!
