It was a busy start to our final few days of the academic year at Earls Hall! The morning saw us joined by Mrs Taylor, the wide of our former Chair of Governors- the late George Taylor, as she came to present this years ‘George Taylor Award’. Each year two children from Year two are presented with the award in recognition of displaying positive qualities, It is always a difficult decision as there are so many children who we are proud of but this year the children awarded were Poppy and Henry. Poppy was chosen for displaying a growth mindset and for always being so thoughtful and caring, with a number of examples of her kindness and thoughts for others being put forward by many staff across the school. Henry was chosen for always being encouraging and cheerful to others, again with lots of examples of how this attitude had positively impacted other children, especially throughout some of the challenges of the past year. Both children were presented with the award by Mrs Taylor before going to Mr B’s office to phone their parents and share their proud news. Well done children, we are proud of you!
Later in the day it was time to celebrate as the Year six leavers enjoyed an afternoon of fun. As part of a temporary year group bubble, the children enjoyed a photo booth and ice cream in the afternoon before taking to the field for an outdoor disco where they enjoyed fun and games to the sounds of Micky B’s DJing skills. It was a great afternoon, enjoyed by everyone!
