Jubilee Picnic!

It was a fantastic and patriotic end of the first half of the Summer term today as the Earls Hall community came together in order to celebrate the Queens Platinum Jubilee! The weather was on our side as the field was full of families all taking part in our Jubilee picnic! Parents came back to school mid morning in order to set up their pitch before they were joined by the children and enjoyed a fun and relaxing lunch and play. As music from throughout her Majesty’s reign blared over the speakers, the field was a sea of red, white and blue as the community dressed for the occasion. It was amazing, after the challenges of the pandemic, to once again be able to hold such a community spirited event, the type which we love so much, and fitting that it was for such a special occasion. Thank you to everyone who came along and joined in the fun!

Throughout the morning, the children across the school prepared for the picnic by learning about the Queen, making their own crowns or painting pictures of the lady herself. In the afternoon, the children from Squirrels enjoyed a swimming lesson over in the pool whilst the children in Year Six enjoyed a competitive game of rounders against each other. There was more sport on the field as the children in Year Five were joined by the PE teachers from King Edmunds School where they helped them develop their athletics skills. Thank you for giving us your time.
