House Captains, Head Boy & Head Girl!

It was a fabulous end to the first full week of the academic year at Earls Hall! The morning saw the children celebrate the achievements and efforts of individual children from each class in our two simultaneous ‘Celebration Assemblies’ where we presented the weeks ‘Earls Hall Stars’. Well done to all of the children rewarded today, we are proud of you!

In the assemblies Mr B had the honour of introducing the years house captains, Head Boy and Head Girl to the children. The children congratulated the captains for Warwick, Arundel, Oxford and Norfolk, who will be presented with their badges in an up and coming presentation evening, before our Head Boy and Head Girl were presented with their special badges. The children will undertake key duties throughout the year and will act as role models for the rest of the school. Well done children, we are proud of you.

Meanwhile, the Foundation Stage classes were a little fuller today as we welcomed the third of our groups of new starters to Dormice, Hedgehogs and Robins. The children toured the school, visiting key areas such as the farm animals, the office, the hall, toilets and Mr B’s office where they met George the tortoise. They then spent the morning getting to know their new friends and a lot of fun was had by all!

Throughout the day more and more children visited the goats, chickens and ducks in order to undertake important or jobs or simply have fun with them. Geraldine, Gerald and Gordon are becoming friendlier by the day and are enjoying their regular visits throughout the day.

In the afternoon Mrs Irwin, one of the school governors, met with the weeks ‘Learning Ambassadors’ where she found out all about the learning which has been taking place across the school since Monday. Mr Dorn worked in the downstairs hall with groups of children playing new aged kurling before the same hall played host to the first session of our ‘Superhero Club’.
