Hoorah for Harvest!

It was another busy day at Earls Hall today as we opened our doors to the families of Year Three who all came along to help celebrate harvest. The children from Hawks, Kestrels and Kites were watched by proud parents and other family members as they performed their harvest assembly. The children all showed great confidence when speaking and singing their way through the assembly and a sense of pride swept through the upstairs hall. Thanks to everyone who made it along to watch. well done children, we are proud of you!

Meanwhile, the children in Year Two used their ‘Forest Friends’ session to classify different varieties of trees. The children went on a leaf hunt where they matched varieties according to their appearance and then shared their findings to the rest of the group. There was more outside activity as Mrs Cox was joined by more children who helped her undertake some of the daily farming tasks needed to be carried out in order to look after the animals. Later, at lunchtime, the gates to the goat enclosure were once again opened to children who wished to spend some quiet time with our four legged friends.

At the end of the afternoon Mr B was lucky enough to hear some wonderful readers in his office, today from Woodpeckers. Well done children, you made Mr B’s day!
