It was an exciting day for the children in Year Six today as they ventured away from Earls Hall in order to begin their residential trip to Stratford upon Avon! The children attending the trip set off on two coaches and made their way to the wonderful Making of Harry Potter experience at Warner Bros studios.
At the studios, the children were able to learn behind the scenes tricks and techniques which were used to bring the films of the books to life. They saw a series of amazing sets, creature models and costumes up close and took part in lots of photo opportunities including some green screen magic which saw them appearing to fly just like Harry himself.
After the visit to the studios, the children made their way gto the Youth Hostel where they are staying where they enjoyed a smashing dinner. After their meal they enjoyed a chilled evening playing team games in the fields before setting off to bed. It was a marvellous first day of the trip where the children were all sure to have made some lasting memories.
