Great Grotto!

It was a magical day at Earls Hall today as we welcomed a very special visitor to school! Once again our community room was transformed into a magical Winter wonderland grotto thanks to the efforts of a group of PTA volunteers and, once all of the twinkling lights were switched on, it was called home for the day by none other than Father Christmas himself!

Throughout the day children from across the Foundation Stage and KS1 took turns to visit Father Christmas, assisted by some fantastic elves from Year Six, and each and every child seemed overwhelmed by the awe and wonder of the experience. The children each had a little chat with Father Christmas and talked to him about their good behaviour and what they would like for Christmas. It really was a smashing experience for all of the children. Thanks to the helpers from the PTA and the elves who were picked out of a hat from Year Six. The grotto will return on Thursday when children from KS2 will get the chance to visit.

Meanwhile, in Owls, the children continued to develop their artistic skills by investigating tone through the painting of Christmas trees whilst we were also visited by our Chair of the Governing Body, Mr Stanton, who met with Mr B to discuss ongoing improvements and Mrs Rick to discuss progress against the school budget alongside fellow governor Mr White.
