It was a busy start to the week today. The morning started with our latest ‘Reading Champions’ being rewarded for their efforts with reading at home. The assembly this morning saw a host of proud parents join in with the celebrations as their children had reached gold status meaning that they had read at least a hundred times at home. Well done to all of the children who took part, we are proud of you all.

Later in the morning the children in KS2 took part in an assembly all about respect. Mr B discussed with them behaviours which were respectful and disrespectful with the overall message of the assembly being to treat others as you wish to be treated.

The morning saw the children in Year One being joined by lots of parents who came in to help the children create a range of animal masks which will be used as costumes for their ‘Lion King’ dances. The masks were stunning, thanks to all of the parents who came in to join in with the fun! The animal theme continued as the children in Year Two continued to create animal movements in PE.

In the afternoon the children in Elm used the laptops to use an online programme which challenged them to identify hazards in the home whilst, down the corridor, the children in 6S studied WWII propaganda posters.
