GETTING STARTED!

It was another busy day in school which saw the children take part in a whole range of activities, many of which formed the starting point for future learning.

Science was the subject of the afternoon for many of the Key Stage Two classes with Year Three focusing on ‘Skeletons’,  Year Five looking at ‘Space’ and Year Six concentrating on ‘Living Things and their Habitats’. The children completed a web of what they already knew about each topic so that the teachers could plan future lessons without repeating prior learning.

Year Two began learning about buildings and structures using the art work of Lowry for inspiration. The children in Owls spent much of the afternoon surrounded by the smell of paint as they carefully created their own buildings and figures in a similar style to the artist and created some impressive works of art by the end of the day! lowry 1 lowry 2 lowry 5 lowry 6 lowry 7 lowry 8 lowry 9 lowry 10 lowry 11 lowry 12 science 1 science 2 science 3 science 4
