It was an exciting day for Earls Hall as Mr Smith took our basketball team over to Colchester in order to compete in the Essex finals. Following their Southend victory before Christmas, the team were pitted against the very best other teams from across the county and finished a magnificent second place by the end of the competition! Well done to all of the children who represented the school, we are proud of you!

Meanwhile, back in school, individual children from each class were presented with our ‘Earls Hall Stars’ certificates in our two simultaneous ‘Celebration Assemblies’ in recognition of their efforts and achievements. Certificates were also presented for Club 24 achievements and Times Table Rock Stars. Well done to all of the children rewarded today, we are proud of you.

At the end of the afternoon our ‘Learning Ambassadors’ from each class met with Mrs Irwin from the governing body in order to tell her all about the learning which has been taking place across the school since Monday. The children answered questions about the themes that they have been learning through beautifully. well done children, we are proud of you.
