It was a special day for the children in the Foundation Stage classes today as they took to the stage for the very first time in order to perform their Christmas play. The children sang, danced and acted their way through the story of ‘A Snowman at Sunset’ in both morning and afternoon performances; a tale which told the story of a group of children who, whilst working together as a team to build a snowman, discover about the very first Christmas when baby Jesus was born.

After the main story was performed more children took to the stage in order to sing and dance their way through a number of Christmas themed songs including ‘The Reindeer Cokey’ and ‘When Santa got stuck up the Chimney’. It was a wonderful performance and we were proud of all of the children.

After the performances our trusty PTA were on hand to serve hot drinks, mince pies, biscuits and cakes. Thank you to all of the volunteers who gave their time.

Meanwhile, in Year Two, the children created their very own stockings by sewing felt together and Father Christmas Christmas cards by cutting and sticking card.
