Footballers, Forest Friends & Physical Foundation Stagers!

It was a fun and physical day at Earls Hall today! The morning saw groups of children from the Foundation Stage work in the hall where they took part in a series of physical challenges with Mr Crooks, one of our new PE coaches. the children played games which saw them use all of the space in the hall to run, jump and exercise and a great time was had by all. There was more activity taking place in the upstairs hall as the children in Woodpeckers also took part in a PE lesson with our other new member of the team, Mr Gordon. The children all worked really hard to carry out a series of physical challenges through games, working as teams and individuals.

Outside on the playground there were even more games taking place as the children in Owls and Foxes were joined by representatives from Southend United who worked with them to develop their team skills. The children played games which saw them running, catching and fetching items around the playground, each time trying to beat their personal bests.

Meanwhile, as the children in Aspen used their Forest Friends session to undertake key gardening tasks, the community room played host to another ‘Rock Steady’ session. The children worked in bands to develop their vocal talents, guitar, drum and keyboard skills under the guidance of Simon.

As children in 6C challenged themselves over in the pool, Mr B ended his day on a high by listening to some wonderful readers, today from Rabbits. Once the school day had ended our ‘Clay cottage’ after school club saw the children begin to make their own unique clocks.
