Finding Friends!

There was a theme of friendship in school today. Our new starters in our Foundation Stage classes enjoyed getting to know each other by playing both indoors and outdoors together. They enjoyed the role play and creative areas and focused on sharing toys and equipment so that everyone had their fair share of time. It is lovely to see the classrooms so busy with such happy children!

Meanwhile, in Year Five, there was more friendship focus as the children created their own ‘wanted’ posters where they identified the positive qualities they desire in a friend.

Out with the animals a group of children from Woodpeckers played with the goats, cuddled the chickens and helped Mrs Timpson change the ducks pond water.

Outside on the field the children in Year Four continued their environmental project by focusing on pollution and littering that goes largely unseen. The children worked in groups to plan videos to communicate key messages to try and reduce litter and pollution on an every day basis.
