It was a fantastic day for the children in KS2 as it was their turn to enjoy the talents of Mrs Warren-Hardy and her trusty kitchen team as they dished up their delicious Christmas dinner! Having prepped the meal from early in the morning, the ladies plated up turkey or quorn with all the trimmings which was then served to them by the teachers and teaching assistants. With classic yuletide hits blaring in the background, the children pulled crackers courtesy of the PTA whilst tucking in with gusto. The ladies were given three cheers for their efforts and lots of the children even gave the sprouts the thumbs up! Thanks to all of the kitchen ladies for their hard work.
In the afternoon, whilst the children in Robins created their own North Pole, the children in Year Three were treated to a wonderful Science Fair by their friends in Year Four. The children in Kestrels, Kites and Hawks were special guests of the children in Oak, Elm and Aspen as they visited each class and were taught about a range of science investigations by the older children. They were given scientific enquiry questions to try and predict and many investigations that the older children had taken part in were demonstrated to their younger friends. It was a great afternoon which both year groups enjoyed.
