It was a fantastically festive day in school today as the Earls Hall community came together in order to celebrate at this years fabulous PTA Christmas Fete! The event began at 11am and saw the site full of attractions for families to enjoy. There were delicious refreshments on offer ranging from cakes and tea, candy floss, hot dogs and Mrs Cheema’s world famous home cooked delights. Whilst parents and children were entertained by talented singers they could take part in a range of fun and games as stalls were set out in both halls, the Woodland Diner and a number of classrooms.
The refreshment stand played host to a wonderful ‘Bake Off’ where Mr B was lucky enough to act as judge and chief taster. Well done to Sophia and Mia who won the children’s baking competition and to Mrs Hampton who took first prize in the adult category. All of the offerings were delicious so thank you to everyone who entered!
All in all it was a hugely successful event which was supported by members of the Earls Hall community past and present. It was lovely to see such a mix of current and former Earls Hallians gather together to support the PTA, raising a wonderful £1900 profit in just one day. Thanks to all of the parents and staff members who gave their time to either set up, run stalls or clear away and a particular thanks to Mrs Sale, Mrs Heath, Mrs Welling and the rest of the committee for their organisational skills.
