Rounders was the game of the day today at Earls Hall, not only for the children but for staff and parents too! Throughout the day a team of children from KS2 represented the school at the Essex Rounders Finals  and, after a series of games against the other top ranked teams in the county, were crowned champions!

The children beat Great Clacton Primary 8.5 to 1.5, St Thomas More 3 to 1.5, RA Butler 4.5 to 1.5 St Marys 2.5 to 2 before winning 5.5 to 2 against Thurrock in the grand final. Well done to all of the children who represented the school, we are proud of you!

Meanwhile, back in school, our ‘Celebration Assemblies’ saw us celebrate the individual efforts and achievements of children by presenting ‘Earls Hall Stars’, times table and reading certificates. We also presented the swimming gala team with their medals. Well done to all of the children presented today, we are proud of you.

After school the rounders them was back as a team of staff took on a team of parents on the field whilst being cheered and egged on by families from across the school. Whilst the spectators enjoyed ice creams, the teams played two fun but competitive games. The staff won and a great time was had by all, raising £120 in the process for PTA funds. Thanks to everyone who took part and to those who stayed to join in the fun way to end the week.
