It was another full day of activity at Earls Hall today! The day saw the children in Foxes take part in a lively dance lesson in the hall whilst, outside on the playground, the children in Hawks took part in training sessions with the team from Southend United!The children took part in a series of team work and skill enhancing games which helped to build up their confidence both as individuals and as part of a group. The children loved the sessions, thank you to all from SUFC for your time!

There was a sense of celebration across Year Three as the children shared their amazing homework projects centred around Stonehenge. The children worked really hard at home in order to create some really creative models which were built out of a wide range of items- some of which were even edible! Well done to all of the children, we are proud of you!

The atmosphere in Oak was electric in the afternoon as the children created their own powerpoint presentations about electricity! The children researched their topic and then included all of the facts that they had discovered, alongside pictures which they searched for on the internet, in order to create their presentations beautifully.

Meanwhile, as the children in robins practised their tricky words on whiteboards independently, the children in Aspen edited their pieces of writing about ‘The Dream Catcher’ based on the work of Abi Elphinstone. The children paid particular attention to ways of including dialogue in their work.

At the end of the afternoon Mr B was joined by children to help clean out George the tortoise. The children cleared away his hibernation woodchips before popping in fresh tortoise sand for him to rummage in. After school Miss Brooker coached our girls football team in a match against our friends at Prince Avenue. The girls showed a great growth mindset as they persevered despite being behind throughout the match. By the end of the game the score was 9-1 to Prince Avenue but the girls were still smiling. Well done girls, we are proud of you!
