There was a theme of dance fever all over the school this afternoon as the children in KS2 enjoyed their Summer discos! This year we were joined by Mark from ‘Moji Entertainment’ who put the children through their paces on the dancefloor. In the afternoon, the children from Years Three, Four and Five used the playground as the setting for their disco as they strutted their stuff in the sunshine. The children had so much fun and, at one point, all joined in with the longest conga imaginable as they wormed their way around play equipment. For those wishing to take time out from all of the hustle and bustle there was the opportunity to visit the quiet room. It was a fabulously fun afternoon!
After school, our Year Six pupils enjoyed their leavers disco which took place, at their request, in the downstairs hall. The children made the most of every minute of the disco and were all dressed to impress as they took part in dancing competitions, enjoyed the foam machine and ended the session with the year group making one large circle. It was an emotional start to their leavers celebrations and a fantastic way to end the day!
