It was another busy day at Earls Hall! The day saw the children in Kestrels enjoy a lengthy music session with Mrs Thompson, our specialist music teacher, where they scored their own compositions and then wrote the notations on a staff. Linked with their maths lesson, the children used crochets, semibreves and minims to capture their individual pieces before sharing them with each other.

Meanwhile, as the children in Rabbits took to the field in order to practise races for next weeks sports day, the children in Hawks enjoyed a Forest Friends session in the back wooded area of the field. The children enjoyed taking part in bark rubbing, flower pressing, den making and wool weaving before taking part in some team games.

As the children in Year Five discussed the dangers of keeping secrets in PSHE, the children in Badgers enjoyed a bread baking session linked to their research into the events of Pudding Lane at the time of the Great Fire of London. The children created their own individual doughs and the smell of baking was so tempting!
