It was an exciting day at Earls Hall today as the whole school community came together in order to support ‘BBC Children in Need’! Children and staff came to school celebrating a ‘Sleepyheads Day’ by dressing in pyjamas, dressing gowns, onsies and oodies- all in aid of Pudsey and his fundraising. The efforts of the community saw donations flood in with a total raised today reaching a wonderful £377! Thank you to everyone who got into the spirit of the day!
Throughout the day the classes investigated the causes that Pudsey raises money for and also took part in a range of other lessons. Meanwhile, there was more excitement of a sporting kind as a team of players from Years Five and Six represented the school at this years Southend inter-schools football tournament. It was a fantastic competition which saw the boys finish in third place in the borough. The team played nine games against other Southend teams; winning five, drawing two and losing two. Well done boys, we are proud of you!
