It was a proud start to the week today as we started the morning by celebrating the efforts and achievements of our youngest readers in another special assembly. Mr B was joined in the downstairs hall by a host of proud parents and other family members who had all come to school to see the children presented with their special badges.
Silver, gold and platinum badge recipients were all applauded for their efforts before Mr B was helped by some of the teaching assistants to present the children who had read over two hundred and fifty times with their special medals and the title of…… ‘Ultimate Reading Champion’. Thank you to all of the parents who came along and well done to all of the children presented with badges or medals, we are proud of you!
Later in the morning a group of children from Year Four hosted a very special sale on the playground. The group had recently come up with the idea of making their own anti-stress balls and squishies and selling them to raise money for ‘Essex Air Ambulance’; the chosen charity of the school this year. The children raised an amazing £68 selling their homemade items at playtime and lunchtime. Well done children, we are proud of you!
