It was an incredibly proud day in school today with achievement being the word of the day!

The day started with the children in KS1 being treated to a musical performance by one of our pupils. Teddie from Year Three shared her piano skills with the children by performing in the weekly singing assembly, and acted as an inspiration to the younger children. Well done and thank you Teddie!

In the afternoon it was time for one of the biggest sporting events of the year when dozens of children from across KS2 represented the school at this years Borough Sports tournament. The team had been picked through a series of trials over the past few weeks and months and this afternoon children took part in a range of events, both on the field and on the track.

It was a super hot day but this didn’t stop the children from all performing brilliantly and there was a great sense of team work as the children encouraged each other in their respective events. Many of the children beat personal bests with many ranking in the top three for their event.

At the end of the afternoon the atmosphere at the huge Garons track was tense as it had been such a nail biting experience with incredibly high standards demonstrated by all of the schools. Earls Hall were placed third on the field events, second on the track events and an amazing first overall, making them the overall Southend champions!! It was fantastic for the school to win and retain the trophy from last year. A massive congratulations to all of the children who took part and to Mr Smith who worked tirelessly to ensure that everyone was able to perform to their very best on the day. Well done Earls Hall, Southend champions!!
