It was an exciting day at Earls Hall today as we were once again back together as a school following over two months of working in a repurposed way! The day saw the children refamiliarise themselves with each other and the school in general and in next to no time all of the classes were back in the swing of things, almost as if they had never been apart!
Throughout the day there were plenty of opportunities for the children to chat and catch up but there were also plenty of fun learning experiences taking place. In the Foundation Stage the children played with each other both indoors and outdoors and also took part in a series of fun Maths activities as part of their daily ‘Numbertime’ session.
There was more fun and games taking place outside as the children in Year Three took to the field and the playground in order to take part in some short and long distance running races where they competed against their own personal bests and each other. They developed their ability to work as a team and encourage each other to adopt a growth mindset in order to complete obstacle courses and a great time was had by all.
The children in 6C enjoyed the first of their four afternoons swimming this week where the side of the pool was fully ventilated and they had exclusive use of the facilities. It was a fun first session!
