It was an awesome start to another week at Earls Hall! The morning began with the children in KS1 joining Mr B in assembly where they all enjoyed a singing session together. Mr B was joined on his guitar by a host of volunteers who helped lead the actions with great levels of enthusiasm as the children sang their favourite songs. Later in the morning there was a great sense of pride in the KS2 assembly as children from across all higher year groups were presented with their latest ‘Reading Champions’ badges in recognition of their efforts at home. Well done to all of the children presented with badges today, we are proud of you!

Later in the day there was more celebrating taking place in the downstairs hall as the children from Year One were joined by proud parents and other family members as they gathered for our first ‘Attendance Assembly’ of the week. Children who had an attendance of over 95% throughout the Autumn term were presented with special certificates and had their photos featured on a powerpoint celebrating their enjoyment of being in school. Thanks to all of the parents who made it along and well done to the children presented with certificates, we are proud of you!

Meanwhile, out on the playground, the children in Aspen took to their saddles in order to take part in the first of our ‘Bikeability’ sessions which saw them develop their cycling skills with the help of the team. Upstairs, at the end of the afternoon, the children in Kestrels made beautiful music together on the recorders and Mr B was lucky enough to end his day being serenaded by the group playing ‘Three Little Birds’ by Bob Marley.
