A ‘Souper’ Day!

The smell of a delicious lunch wafted around the school today as the children from the Cabin turned themselves into culinary geniuses for the morning! having been learning all about fruit and vegetables recently, the children planned and prepared a meal consisting of fruit kebabs and vegetable soup. They peel and cut the ingredients, sliding the pieces of fruit onto the sticks and boiling the cut vegetables in a saucepan. Once boiled, they blended the soup before serving it up at their dining table. Yesterday, the children had written invitations to Mr B and Mrs Cummins, one of our school governors, asking them to join them for lunch and so today they arrived just before lunch and were treated to a couple of kebabs and a hot bowl of soup which was quite honestly mouth watering!

Earlier in the day, the upstairs hall played host to our latest music review. Proud parents, grandparents and other family members were treated to performances by the timbrel group and the Year Three and Four choir before a number of children from lower KS2 took to their instruments in order to perform as individuals. There were fabulous performances by our guitarists, pianists and drummers with each child demonstrating the progress which they have made over the course of the past term. thanks to everyone who came along to enjoy the performances. Well done children, we are proud of you!
