A Field full of Fitness!

It was a fun day full of fitness today at Earls Hall today! Our field was full of children all taking part in a range of sporting activities and everyone was giving it their all in order to try and beat their personal bests!

The children in Year Two took part in a range of activities, from ladder running to low hurdling, racing against each other as well as against the clock as individuals. Meanwhile, also on the field in separate areas, the children in 6M developed their higher hurdling skills by racing against each other. At the back of the field the children in 6C developed their ball, shot and javelin throwing skills.

Inside, the children in Rabbits worked in pairs to create boats out of junk modelling. The children adapted their plans as they went along and then tested them in a tray of water in order to see if they could successfully float.

Upstairs, the children in Year Five continued their work on the Rainforest. They had previously researched the different animals who call the Rainforest home and then sketched them and painted them with some stunning results.

Out in the back wooded area the children from Kites used their Forest Friends session with Miss Chandler in order to take part in a series of outdoor team games and challenges and also had time to explore signs of wildlife in the forest.
