The downstairs hall was a hive of activity this afternoon as we hosted our annual ‘Thank You Cream Tea’ as a small way of expressing our gratitude to some of the many helpers who have given us their valuable time throughout the past academic year. After lunch, the hall was quickly transformed as we prepared to welcome parents, grandparents, other family members and friends of the school who were all treated to tea, coffee and scones with jam and cream.
At the tea, Mr B expressed his thanks to everyone for the time they had given us in whatever form it was given. We are lucky to have endless amounts of support with adults hearing children read, supporting swimming, helping on trips or being part of our much valued and hard working PTA. Bouquets of flowers were given to Mrs Payne and Mrs Sharpe for their organisational skills within the PTA committee before more were presented to Mrs Sale, Mrs Heath and Mrs Welling for their tireless efforts as chairs and vice chair. We are well aware that there were many supporters of the school who were unable to make it along but, whether you were there or not, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the support that you have given us. We are continually grateful of the fact that our parents and grandparents, as well as friends of the school old and new, believe in the work which we do and show us in so many ways. On behalf of the whole team in school, thank you!
Elsewhere in school, in our ‘Celebration Assemblies’ we celebrated the efforts of all of the children at the weeks sports days before presented our ‘Earls Hall Stars’ certificates to individuals for their effort and achievements in class. We also presented a number of times table and reading champions badges. Well done to all of the children rewarded today, we are proud of you!
